Burton & District Model Boat Club

Burton & District Model Boat Club provide facilities and support for most types of boat modellers, static, scale, yachting, etc. Our sailing water at Branston is not suitable for straight running, and we try to limit high speed IC boats to a few special events in the year, as the water is also a nature reserve.

The first model show of the season was the Mickleover Model Railway Group's exhibition at the Assembly Rooms in Derby. A report and pictures can be found on the Show Reports page.

Evening sailing has started - see you at the water park on Tuesday evenings.

On this site you will find membership details, a copy of our Club Rules and also details of the current Committee.

The Events Calendar for 2008 is now online. Club Nights will continue to be held on the first Wednesday of each month, and we will try to have informative talks at each meeting. The sailing waters remain available to members all year, with Tuesday evening being the 'club' sailing time. This is when you are most likely to find scale boats on the water.

Our yachting members normally sail on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday mornings. We also have some Lasers in the club, I think that they normally sail on Saturday mornings. Here are pictures of the members and their boats.
